Avril Flynn

Avril was an amazing help to us, she is so calm and reassuring. The practical advice and support she gave us before our baby was born was invaluable, absolutely no question was too much hassle. We learned more in the few hours with Avril than the months spent researching and reading books. With Avril’s help, we felt prepared for our baby’s arrival and when our little boy was born we felt confident in our decisions for him. Without a doubt the most important thing Avril helped us with was was giving us the confidence to trust our instincts as the experts in our own baby and not relying on Dr Google. The advice Avril gave us we have already been able to pass on to other friends and family.

When I found out I was pregnant I contacted the hospital to book antenatal classes which I was told were full until close to my due date. I was so deflated and really upset at the time - where do from here!! I saw that Avril Flynn offered this service privately in the comfort of my own home. It was a no brainer after chatting to her on the phone. She just had so much knowledge and I enjoyed our first brief chat !! I booked my date in for a couple of months later.

The minute Avril sat down with my partner Paddy and I, I immediately felt at ease. She’s so warm and comforting and I could ask her literally anything that was on my mind. She just had answers to everything without me feeling silly at any point. I’m not sure if I would of spoken up to ask questions if I was in a large group - the thoughts of embarrassment I guess. Her presentations were easy to follow and she also sent me follow up videos afterwards. I’ve had this fear of giving birth for the last few months and honestly, all my fears were gone by the end of our time with her. We had an ante natal class with Avril when I was 34 weeks pregnant, as soon to be first time parents, we wanted to make sure we were as prepared as we could be & liked the idea of having the class in our own home where we could ask anything & everything.

Avril was absolutely brilliant, she made us feel so comfortable, it was very reassuring to talk so openly about our fears & concerns and we were both much less anxious afterwards.
